We became Sophomores in 1952 and adopted our class colors, motto, and flower. Officers were elected and plans were made to guide us through our high school days. The highlight of our Junior year was the Junior Prom, held on De- cember 25, 1953. Music was furnished by Horace Richards. We wish to express our appreciation to Mrs. Gibson and Mr. Evans whose assistance made it possible. Social events of our Senior year began with the Hop on Thanks- giving night. Music was supplied by J oe Minarchick. The decorations were both distinctive and novel. We the Seniors of 1955, are proud of our record in all phases of school life and we wish to express our deepest thanks to all who helped us achieve our goal. 24 Advisors ...., . . . Upholding this tradition, our glee clubs make music with their hearts as well as their voices. To hear 350 choristers blended into one great voice is a treat few people care to miss. The Christmas music thrilled everyone who attended the pageant The tone quality and musical interpretations were excellent. Mrs. Joyce Bower, substituting for Mrs. Emily Gibson during her ab sence, did an outstanding job in keeping our musical reputation high. Jo Ann Haluska, Ruth Foster, Charlotte Mazloom, and Joan Grieff were selected for the Eastern District Chorus held at Parkland High School. The band and orchestra. under the direction of Mr. Thomas Jennings, are well-drilled musical units. The work of the band at football and basket- ball games is outstanding. The intricate formations they perform so easily are a tribute to their director and their enthusiasm. The orchestra plays for our school functions and commencement ex- ercises. This year a dance band division appeared and made a favorable impression in supplying music for social affairs. john Bulharowski and Barbara Kocur were selected for the District Orchestra. John Bulharowski was honored by being selected to the all State Or- chestra at Mt. Union, Pennsylvania. Barbara Kocur-Eastern Dis- John Bulharowski-Eastern trict Orchestra. The Saintenal Staff not only writes, edits, and produces the paper, but also finances it by ads, chance books, and other devices. Too much credit cannot be given to Miss Mary McCarrity and her staff in providing our school with this journal. In recent statewide competitions the Saintenal received excellent notices and has been honored in past years by having some of its mem- bers panel speakers at the Penn State Newspaper Meet. Valter Webb, a preacher will be he wants to enter the church you see. Ronalene Wehner with her classy good looks would make a nice cover girl for Hollywood books Life's sea will provide some smooth sailin' for life's just a breeze for Mr. Bob Whalen. Ed Williams on the gas steps quite heavy as he dashes around town in his elegant Chevy. Roberta Williams, though her name makes her last is really one of the brains of our class. CLASS SONG fTune: Halls of lvyl To the memiry of St. Clair High School That surrounds us here today, Oh, we will not forget, tho we be far, far away. To our teachers, friends, and classmates We will bid farewell to you, And we will shed a tear For all our high school days are thru. We start our future now Y For you have taught us how To enter into all the joys of life. Our thoughts will never die Of life at St. Clair High. And, as the years go by, we'll always sing Of the mem'ry of St. Clair High School That will shine in every heart. As from its halls of learning We, this day, now depart.
