Senior Class Hisfory We, the Class of 1953, began our high school journey in September of 1950. Gul' sophomore year was launched by a class meeting at which we chose our class flower, motto, and colors. Gfficers were chosen whom we, the members of the class, consid- ered to show a sense of leadership. Our class began to participate in school and extra-curricular activities. Some of our fellow students received recognition in ath- letics, others for fine scholarship and club activities. The highlight of our sophomore year was a skating party at Dream City Park which afforded recreation for us as well as the other classes. On December 25, 1951, we held the traditional Junior Prom. Under a canopy of maroon and white streamers we danced to the music of Horace Richards and his orchestra. The auditorium was banked with glittering Christmas trees and ever- greens. This, our Senior year, marks the height of our achievement in high school. On Thanksgiving, the Senior Hop provided entertainment for everyone. Dancing under a myriad of silver stars, we enjoyed the music of Charley Edwards. Our magazine campaign provided the necessary funds for graduation. As we look back upon our years at Saint Clair High School, We feel confident that the training and guidance we have received have prepared us for a successful future. As We bid farewell to our Alma Mater, we wish to express our gratitude for the important part it has played in developing our education and furthering our goals. -111,-
