This activity, since it takes practically no effort at all, is quite popular at STC. The popular shows on T.V. this season ranged from cartoons to parental discretion shows that appeared late in the evening. Other highly rated shows were comedies like Welcome Back Kotter, about a school teacher and his difficult-to-teach students, the Sweathogsg variety shows like Saturday Night Live, with the Coneheads, Emily Litella, and Samuri Dry Cleaners making us all laugh, and the soap operas, All My Children, Ryan's Hope, and The Young and the Restless topping the list. Evening viewing had quite a few shows that got T good ratings. A few that we'll always remember are Three's Company, about two girls living with one guy, Happy Days, lwho can forget the Fonz'?lg Charlie's Angels, lweren't the guys upset when Farrah left the show?Jg and a new show satirizing soap operas called, of course, Soap. Funway 'tilts' Saints Funway had a facelift! That's right, the amusement place in Batavia, just fifteen minutes away from St. Charles, took on a new, better look this year which attracted the sophomores as well as the rest of STC. Pinball, foosball tables, go-carts, bumper cars, and Funway's latest addition -the roller skating rink, kept the students of STC busy on weekends, after school, or whenever they had the urge to TILT on Captain Fantastic, or let out their anxieties by bumping the daylights out of each other on the bumper cars. Funway does put a little dent in the pocketbook, because everyone knows that when you play one game of pinball, it's hard to stop. But that never stops anyone, because once they've started, they have to keep going until they beat that machine. Funway is one challenge that everyone loves!
