uewusarg New year, new fads Once again the leading fashion style was blue jeans, but then aren't they always? Cowl necks, dressy scarves, silk dresses and blouses with bows, three piece pant suits, and crazy socks were a few of the parts put together to come up with the dressier outfits that were popular this year. Stick pins and hair combs became essential, and everyone who was someone owned a brightly colored ski jacket, or STC coat. Corduroy and blue jean Levi's topped by nice sweaters could be seen on the guys and even they were a bit dressier to match the class set by the new school. Big key chains with at least four smaller ones attached held keys to various cars: Mustang lI's, Cameros, Thunderbirds, and Bombers to name a few. A cross section of these cars could be found parked at parties that were held at least one weekend night, if not two. Open house parties were attended basically by large groups of friends.
