X-Ray SBUIES ill to IIBW f00ITl, S3I'l1E old Ch2l0S Once in a new school, the X-ray made some new starts, too. Layout people started going wild with border tape, and things started turning up reversed out, iincluding some front-page outlines - which were a surprise to the entire staff.l A video-taped television show that was shown in the Resource Center was started this year with some of the center's new equipment, and last year's typeset cabinets were left behind at Thompson. Unoccupied staff members put their graffiti on a wall instead. The larger space inspired enough incentive to hatch some really unique word combinations. Although the staff moved into a brand-new workroom with lat lastly big-enough desks, the same shortages of x-acto knives and working typewriters proved enough of a strain to send Ma Perkins under her desk. But in spite of the problems, the staff showed no shortage of hard work as the X-ray received three certificates of merit at NISPA and an All-American rating from NSPA, ranking X-ray among the top 20 large high school newspapers in the country.
