Co-op students learn and work Over 200 students participated in the co-operative education program fco-opj this year. According to Mr. Bernie Looney, co-op advisor, students who participate in this program are given a head start in the world of work. Members must also belong to one of the three related co-op clubs, the Vocational industrial Clubs of America TVICAJ, the Distributive Education Clubs of America QDECAQ, or the Office Education Association QOEAQ. These clubs are not only on the local level, they are part of state and national organizations. VICA was the largest club this year, having 125 members. The highlight of the year was the employer appreciation banquet held at the Gaslight Manor in Aurora. Students sold over 312,000 in oranges and grapefruits earlier in the year to pay for it. The highlight of that evening was when senior Randy Johnsen was named co-op student of the year. ka .pit yd U! , f ft- 3 M 7 Lf in 55 1 r 4.
