r T A 1 Saints in the swim make the most ofthe season Amidst pull-bouys, kickboards, required morning practices, weight lifting, and quality workouts, the Saint swimmers had a successful season. A 5-0 conference record led the girls' swim team, under Coach Bob Teichart, Assistant Coach Dave Bart, and Diving Coach Bonnie Hajek, into the Upstate Eight Conference swim meet only to be upset by the DeKalb Barbs and place second. sw Boys' swim team: state competitors The Saints placed third in the state meet after they placed second in district and won the UEC title earlier in the season. Placing seventh in the state, was the medley relay team of Glenn Henry, Russ Schindehette, Mike Harvey and Mike Morgan. Their time of 4213.0 is under consideration for high school All-American. Bill Shanel was fifth in both the 200 and 500 yd. free. Bill's 500 yd. time of 4:39 is also under consideration for All-American.
