Parties at STC Whether it was a gambling party, a chips and coke get together, or a beer bash, parties played a large part of most STC students' Friday and Saturday nights. When there were no sporting events or dances, rarely did a weekend go by that someone didn't take advantage of the folks' being away and had everyone over for an evening of drinking, dancing, and socializing. These weekend events often shaped the social lives of many students. Whether it was meeting new friends or a new 'ifIame, hardly a party went by that did not mark new acquaintances being made or, at least, new opinions being formed. While couples enjoyed party-hopping, parties were usually attended by the girls or just 'ithe guys out searching for some way to spend the weekend. Before any further attempts were made to locate the i'shindigs, a quick stop at Macs was essential -the party-location headquarters of St. Charles often supplied students with a list of gatherings to keep them going all night. As high school days come to an end, it is not the attendance procedure or the bumpy bus rides home that will be remembered, but, rather the memorable parties attended and the eventful weekends enjoyed as a student of STC.
