They added pep and enthusiasm to our home games and pep assemblies by playing spirited music and best of all -- our school song. During the football season we were proud to have the uniformed marching band, led by the ma- jorettes, represent our school. The money the band earned by putting on concerts was used to buy their uniforms last year and to pay part of the expenses when they went to contests. The band also took part in annual town parades. All f' students interested submitted letters of X : N application to the student school board, iz X stating what subject they wished to teach, their qualifications, and giving references just as an actual job hunter would. The board considered these applications and chose those best qualified to teach. The student teachers went through a normal 1? ?J six-period day, teaching as many as four classes. Many of the regular teachers visited other schools during the day. Stu- dent Teacher Day gives the students a better understanding of a teacher's day, gives them responsibility, and develops respect and co-operation. 55 71 ---f470ee6ead sf 52 Homecomlng Queen Lynda McCornack ,.-f-4- f sf' Both our Frosh Soph and Varslty added therr contrl bunon to a thrxlhng weekend by wmmng both games from Sycamore w1th the scores 'I 6 and 13 0 respectrvely Thar ball mu il C1 .'-' ii. st be hefe some where' Queen Lynda and her at tendants Carol Hultxne Jo Brown Charlene Jack son andCaro1Norrstrom 3,34 X' 901 445 na.. gn?
