Burruss an every one else that helped To Mlss Salley, also a go top honors for the success of the performance Thanks to Mlss Crarg s steadylng hand plus the efforts of Kathleen anet and Rosle, we som how survlved the Chrlstmas rush of actlvltres, mcludlng the gathering of the clan fantastrcally clad for the early mmrnmg carols Shrverlng and yawnrng we got through ll and had .1 wonderful tlme, crowned by the pleasure of belng guest.. later at Mlss Turner s post carol breakfast Incxdentally for many of us xt was also post a more or less sleepless mght, consrderlng Bugg s famous pajama party Vacatlon speeding by too fast as always, back to school wrth the Aptltudes agam confrontrng us, accompanled by a fantast1c rush to lmprove our vocabularles' On the day of the examlnatron even Nature seemed agarnst Us What a snow storm' Somehow Mrs Flsher got her brood safely to Rlchmond College and on tlme too rn sprte of 111 the compllcatrons Maybe we looked more lrke a bunch of ltrnerant snow men than students but we made -t Soon after th1s Rosle made honorable ratlng rn th annual Pepsl Cola contest and Betty Floyd and Mltzr Perry and Rosle agam dld well enough ln the Qurz Kld compet1t1on essay to be made honorary u1z Krds and speak on the radlo ID Rlchmond Of course everythmg pales by comparlson wtth the Senror Dance whlch went off perfectly the Gym belng transformed lnto a bower of sprlng like beauty wlth d eoratlons of wlsterra and stars and a moon grvmg the true romantlc touch We wore whlte as 1lways and trod the rntrlcate mazes of the figure desrgned by Stagg w1th Anne Warren and Anne Woods and their partners lead :ng the pageant A new and delrghtful touch was glven to the dance by the fact that the school entertalned us and our dates at supper and better st1ll all the Senlors and therr escorts were provlded wlth a post dance break fast, an lmmense tmprovement over the usual hurrleel and hectlc farewells We were even allowed to keep on dancmg unt1l mldnlght an lnnovatlon for whxch we were all exceedingly grateful I have walked down Memory Lane wxth you as far as I can go From here on we must each of us branch oft to our tndlvrdual dream paths carrylng our own speclal memorles and hopes for the days to come For thlrteen years we have worked and played together as an evtr growmg, more unlted and maturmg team of fellowshrp Now the ways begln to part We have the future factng us an unknown future We have our own separate llves to llve an unknown llfe We shall soon step out mto a world great, wlde, wonderful, excrtlng but a l1ttle fnghtenrng too We
