Qliighi QKBB. gliligr. QHH. I- 'firrrlqenvzs For thirteen years the name of Right Reverend Monsignor M. J. Lochemes has been associated with the Academy of Saint Catherine. As spiritual director and in- structor in Religion and Church History, he has lavishly spent the rich treasures of his superior intellect in an effort to mould our characters, to strengthen our religious heritage, and to prepare us for the graver duties of life. Until the inexorable hand of ill-health was laid upon him, his days were marked with tasks Whole heartedly performed. The work which Providence had assigned him, he held as a sacred trust. And we, privileged as We are to know and love him, now feel his absence keenly. We miss his familiar figure, his kindly interest, and his thoughtful Words, colored ever by the purity and courage of his own life. Although he is released from active duty and the responsibilities of his position, we feel assured that we are not forgotten in his thoughts and prayers. With united hearts we plead that God may bless our poet-priest and make us worthy of his friendship and his teachings.
