Because nothing we attempted to write, nothing of rhymed or prosaic composition seemed to speak our thoughts on this, the occasion of your Silver Jubilee, may it suffice as a lasting memory of our devotion to you. Yet, we will attempt to put into words the prayer that He, before Whose eyes now stand written in silver peneilling the years you spent in His service, may grant St. Brendanis the blessing of your con- tinued presence amongst her students as the silver brightens into the gold lettering of another twenty- five years in His Sacred Preisthood.

Dear Graduates: May I express my deep and sincere congratulations upon the success- ful completion of your high school course. The strength that comes to you from this honorable achievement should, of itself, give you courage and strength to face the tasks that lie ahead. The world into which you go will be diferent from the one in which you have passed the last four years. Here, spiritual things were put first but you go now to a worhi that even scojs at the unseen, placing all its hopes, its strivings on the amassing of material things. Never forget what Saint Brendan's High School has meant to you. If you keep the ideas learned here before you, your devoted teachers, who are proud of your accomplishments so far, will have cause to rejoice with you in the latter day. e SISTER MARY DAVID 6
