OUR ALLEGIANCE Today, if ever, America is in dire need of concerted action. Realizing that we are waging a struggle for a common cause, and that victory will be assured only as a result of joint efforts, it was with a just pride of patriotism, that we pledged an all-out coopera- tion for a speedy and just peace. Nor did we pledge with mere words. We spoke with actions. It is not without a merited reason that we can point to the Victory Flag, which proudly waves at St. Bona- venture. Patriotic skits and variety programs were plentiful. And a bond rally was a bi-weekly affair. All of which was for the sole purpose of inflaming the genuine patriotic spirit within our hearts. lnstilled with the truth that the youth of today will be at the helm of the nation tomorrow, we imbibed knowledge necessary for the making of a loyal citizen . . . a citizen who will know how to cherish and preserve the freedom that we shall have won after this struggle.
