Featuring a starting unit composed of three seniors, one junior, and one sophomore, the Sham¬ rocks chalked up victories against Holy Name, Blair, St. Francis, Lincoln Teachers, St. Edward, Seward Concordia, Schulyler, Fullerton, St. Patrick, Madison, St. Joseph, and Stanton during the regular season, and bowed only to Wayne, Clarkson, St. Mary ' s, and Lincoln Cathedral. The team brought home two second place trophies from tournament competition. At the close of the season. Bob Costello ' s crew was ranked eighth in class B by the Omaha World Herald.
