Way Back When CLASS HISTORY Now that our last days are here we brxng back to memory our fxrst days It doesn t seem poss1ble that twelve years have passed smce we all met for the f1rst txme for our fxrst year of school There were s1x of us that started ln that f1rst day and kept on untll the Senxor year Our flrst year of school We were all excxted to start and scared too Learnmg to read and wr1te was certamly a new expenence for us We took part m our flrst play The Tom Thumb Weddmg The brxde and bmdegroom were Chosen from our class They were Barbara Bam and B111 McBr1de Our second grade teacher was Mlss Phxlllps In the thxrd grade our teacher was Mrs Whltcomb and ln the fourth Mrs Stahl ln these grades we won new students and lost others 'Ihe fxfth grade was specmal for us as we got to have our room upstalrs That made us super1or to the lower grades How can we forget the slxth grade w1th Mrs Beanblossom s stor1es she read to us everyday We heard all three He1d1 books thxs year We won t forget elther those h1story surnrnaues we had to memorlze and stand LH the corner for lf we dldn t We also took part ln a mmstrel thls year Those B1ble verses we had to remember too D1d someone brmg a Blble to school to peek at or IS lt Just my 1rnag1nat1on'P Also th1s year And the seventh grade Thxs was worse than the f1rst grade when lt came to bemg scared The study hall was very large then Remember the tune we went wlth our Spon sor Mr Lee to Clxnton to the show and ate at the I-hgh Hat? Our b1g h1t of the elghth grade was our trmp to V1ncennes We all enjoyed th1s trlp and I m sure we all wanted to go back the next year Mr Mayes was our sponsor thls year and also the next Nmth grade and m1t1at1on Boy l bet we looked cute all dressed up Wa1t t1ll we re Sernors we sa1d But that seemed so far off Our remembrance of the Sophomore year was our class rmgs Were we proud of them The Junxor year was one of our blggest The Junlor play the Prom were h1ts Not to ment1on gettmg out of classes to get ready for these Now for our last and fmal Th1s lS one we won t ever forget or try We got our chance at 1n1t1at1on Our sneak day was spent at Turkey Run and we had a lot of fun although I thmk everyone knew we were gomg before we dld We st1ll have our Senlor trlp and play to look forward to and don t let s forget Graduatxon Day We have our days to look forward to and I mxght say we have lots to look backward on Who would want to change all th1s I wouldn t Would you? ll - I l tl ' Ii ' ' c U P I . . l? . . . , . . . . . . . .
