Time passed and we--- -had more confidence as sophomores, -began to build lasting friendships, -stumbled over Spanish verbs, -cheered for our J.V. teams. Time began to move faster as we--- -took our place as upperclassmen, -began thinking about the future, -took those SAT’s, -proudly flashed our class rings, -banded together as a class, -said good-bye to the seniors in our JSR. Time started running out and we--- -laughed at the freshmen but remembered our own Freshmen Senior Night, -voted for our Homecoming queen, -cheered for our teams for the last time, -played our final game dressed in Blue and Gold, -sang our finale in the musical, -looked through college catalogues, then waited for that acceptance letter, -felt the effects of “Senioritis”, -cried at their JSR, -dressed excitedly for the prom, -took our last final exam. And now its A Time For Moving On and we--- -clean out our lockers, -say our good-byes, -cross the stage for our diplomas, -and close the door at 45 Harvard St. Now we belong to TIME. A Cime For Movin’ On We've travelled a long, long time together And there have been a lot of good things on the way. But now, it’s almost time for leavin’ And the things J feel inside are very hard to say. But it’s time for movin’ on my friend Htold-back all the tears and sorrows Jt finally is time_to go our seperate ways And J want to wish you.well my friend As we search for new tomorrow Go as you must, but please. . . don’t-forget the yesterdays. Remember the dreams we dreamed together All of the foys we shared in getting to today Now just one time before you leave me, Reach out and take my hand; and help me walk away For it’s time for movin’ on, my friend Hold back all the tears and sorrows Jt finally is time to go our seperate ways And J want to wish you well my friend As we search for new tomorrows Go as you must, but please . . . don’t forget the yesterdays. DAVID BLIZARD Dear Father Blizard, Now that it is our “Time For Moving On”, we, the Class of 1986, proudly dedicate our Bernardian to you. Although we did not become close to you until our junior year, it seems like you have always been with us. Junior year is usually a special year with such activities as Ring Ceremony and J.S.R., but with you as our advisor and because you gave of yourself so willingly, these events were even more extraordinary and will be with us always. You helped our class originate the new tradition of the Junior Semi-Formal, and once again gave selflessly for our benefit. Since you became our advisor, your warmth and sincere caring have been evident. Whenever we needed you, you were there. You put us all, as individuals and as a class, before yourself. It re- quires a very special person to be able to bring out the best ina class, and that is exactly what you have done. @ Welove you, Fr. Blizard and you will always remain in our hearts. You are more than just a class advisor to us, you are a true friend forever. All Our Love, The Class of 1986 CHURCH LEADERS Bishop Bernard Flanagan Retired Bishop of Worcester Pope John Paul Il Rev. The mass was celebrated by Fr. Joseph Garafalo and concelebrated by Fr. David Blizard. Our own musicians and soloists, along with the rest of the class, incorporated beautiful and meaningful songs in the ceremony. This event was our first true experi- ence of class unity. From that point on, we have grown closer together. Tea Time The Class of 1986 initiated the new tradition of the Mother- Daughter Tea last year on May 5, 1985. As Juniors, we pre- sented a fashion show for Senior girls and their mothers. Junior models were: Anne Marie Higgins, Cindy Perodeau, Mary Beth Murchie, Elizabeth Sampson, Jackie Pizzuti, Lynn Crisci, Robin Ginque, Cindy Caron, Susan Raymond, Maria Fini, and Kelly Walters. Junior servers included Sue Mini- chiello, Maria Antonucci, Michelle Boot, Michelle Belletete, and Mary Delaney. Mrs. Grenier and Mrs. McGuirk organized this event. Fashions were provided by Lerner’s. The Activity Center was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and pastels. a be. « As. ee eee 0 ee i enencit es, _ SHOW TIME The 1984 musical, Bye. Bye Birdie, directed by Mr. Nicastro boasted many juniors in lead roles and supporting parts. The voices of Susan Mini- chiello, Teresa Bedard and the dancing of Cynthia Perodeau, Jackie Pizzuti, and Elizabeth Sampson delighted the packed house. A highlight of the show was the song Telephone Hour featuring ju- niors Stephen Mullaney and Brian Mc Mullen. For the first time ever members of the faculty debut- ed in the school musical with Fr. Blizard and Mrs. McGuirk in leading roles. Kelly Walters and Mary Beth Murchie along with several other juniors were featured in chorus numbers. pee” i er ‘ ssi Sau aa ee sepa SNe Vioietiis shes ey = A TIME TO CELEBRATE Through our J.S.R., our class truly became unified. To- gether we worked intensely to write and organize our show. Together we rehearsed our skits and songs over and over. Together we laughed and cried. Together we grew. Our once diversified groups became a whole--- the Class of 1986. We discovered many different talents in our class and combined them for a fantastic show. Arm in arm on stage we sang our theme song knowing no matter who was beside us, that person was a part of us and a friend. ¢ o ei oouganse tapnneneee 7 ] © 7 2 = — ——-— i wal ot etre 11 U) Z O at CQ Lu = =x ave — Lu i i i a ONG TIME TOGETHER we TV lott Ayala SY, a sec 4 No OD y a | BaD? Our Freshman year seemed the worse while listening to the Seniors gloat, But who can forget the frosh football team’s Unique version of “Row Your Boat’’? earl | Then as we became Sophomores Our lives seemed to change once again. We went from feeling completely lost To saying, “It must be a Freshman!” Junior year was a year to remember, As our JSR was called the best! No one will ever forget The Romantics, The Time, David Letterman and the rest. Our best year and our last Began with Freshman-Senior Night, Our chance to regain the dignity we lost When we experienced this fright. So much more will be remembered From our first Homecoming to our last. HENDRICKS I968 - 1985 | wish before it was too late, that | could have said “I love you.” The pain | feel grows deeper when | think of what we used to do. With all the love that you gave to us, | always take time to see, that if this love can take away the lonliness inside of me. Now time passes slowly our friends grow far away, I think this could be different, if only your love would stay. But you and I, we always knew, as time would come to pass, that more than some will go away, eventually, at last. So now, as I say my last good-bye, to you my dearest friend, I'll cherish always the love we shared, and know that it shall never end.
