The 1980 Track team directed by coaches Robert Merrow and Dave Farnsworth opened its season with a victory over Monty Tech, capturing all but one first and many seconds and thirds. Outstanding were Paul Legere, with two firsts, Bill Bourque, Mark Maldonis, Bill Brewster, Bruce Carbone, and Tim Grammel. The meet with Clinton was a close hard fought battle from beginning to end with Clinton coming out on top. St. Bernard’s met defeat again when it faced a powerful Gardner team.
