People still find a need for something beyond themselves after they do the best they can and then look honestly into the depth of their lives. Trying to ignore this with a stiff upper lip does not help them become mature. They become truly mature as they first develop all the capacities they have, recognizing both failures and weaknesses, and then turn to God for further wisdom and understand- ing and power. —Morton Kelsey
