Although trailing throughout the game, the juniors staged a spirited fourth quarter rally and clinched the victory. Terence Slattery netted 16 points and Bernard Smith, 10. Richard Flynn, varsity player, was the coach for the juniors. The 1962 girls’ basketball squad closed its season of five wins and one loss, with a dinner at the Old Mill, on April 11. Claire Chabot was awarded a trophy as the Most Valuable Guard. Coach Mary Angelini 58 was honored with a trophy in appreciation of her three seasons at SBHS.
