ALICE CHRISTINE NOWD For 'Iis the mind that makes the body rich. Alice's broad smile and cheerful hello are known the school over. Whenever she is absent, the Whole class knows it. for her companions seem to be lone- some and the sixth-hour History Class is unusually quiet. Her hobby is reading and the library can hardly satisfy her demands. Alice's ambition is to become a private secretary and we all hope that her aims and desires will be realized. .IOSIQPII PATRICK NOWD A dau for foil, an hour for sport 1311! for a friend life is loo short. Although a keen observer would notice that Joe is serious and earnest in his school work still outside of school he is always in the fun with Cal and Howie. Joe is a competent athlete as shown by his Une work on the football team, and when it comes to golf-well. Bobby Jones had better look to his laurels. XVe expect to hear many more glowing accounts of Joe in the future. lTI.l?ANOR VIIQCEINIA PADUIJX Sing away sorrow, cast away care. lfleanor is one of the jovial members of the Senior Class. She has done well in her studies and is an ardent Sports Fan. Basketball is her hobby. and how she can play! Eleanor greets you always with a cheery smile and we are sure that her sunny outlook on life is hound to bring her an abundance of health. wealth, and happiness in the future. IUFONA ARLINF PAIGH She was a phantom of delight. Here we introduce a quiet little girl whose hair is the admiration and envy of every girl. Although of a retiring disposition, Leona is friendly and has become very popular with her classmates during her high school career. As a student, she has ranked high with her name on the Honor Roll on almost every occasion. May all the success in the world be yours, Leona! I 1 1 I t

Kitty is a pal in the fullest sense of the word. None will forget the enchantment of her smile and her charming sociability, Did you meet Dolores? Then you met Kathleen, too, for they are inseparable. Don't change, Kathleen, nor forget the pleasant times we have had here at St. Bernard's so that in the future years they will form a host of happy memories of high school days. MARGAIQET LOUISE lVlURPHY A lady is serene. Margaret is one of our classmates from golden West Fitchburg. She is a member of the Commercial Class and her quiet ways and diligent work have made her popular with both the students and the teachers of the school. We predict that Margaret will excel in her secretarial labors within the walls of a large business firm where she will go with the best wishes of all her classmates, SIMON JOHN NALMANTY The only way to have a friend is to be one. Simon, or A'Cal', as he is known to his friends, comes from the Water Street section. He is a fine friend and a good companion as Ed, Joe, and Howie will testify. You can generally find Cal and his companions somewhere around St. Bernard's and from their hearty laughs we know that happiness abounds. Simon did splendid work on the football squad, and we trust the future will bring him much success. EUPHEMIA TERESA NElTPiERCUT Hence loathed melancholy. There is nothing more charming than Famie's smile. She is one of our gloom chasers and she fulfills her mission to perfection. Everybody remembers her work in the operetta given during our sophomore year and we will not easily forget her as an entertainer at our Junior-Senior Reception. We all know that Famie will be a huge success in the business world and a credit to St. Bernard's High School. f--f-1,-vffvv tR.F'iJfF'iF? -iwvj-fzffrg t f 'VEJIQ--'F ' 'if-ietfvfstifa-wwfS-farafvtvz-refX f 41--wT'f'VT 'Qtw 1 t .f......., My -JVM. .,. . .. . . -z i ' +, 'i' .il intl H 1 A 5-V L.: 35 if 'lf rin 'T' 51 1 ,- ,PA ,fi pl-1 I J.. iii ,.1. LUCILLE MARGUERITE PAYEA A'Be silent and safe, Silence neuer betrays you. l,ucille is a firm believer in the above quotation during school hours, but We are not so sure about the time spent outside of the classroom. Her reward for such observances of the golden rule is an unusually good scholastic record. She intends to further her education at Teachers College, where we hope that her career will be as successful as her four years spent at St. Bernard's High. JOHN BERNARD RAINION 'inflexible in faith, inuincible in arms. Ziggy is an ardent follower of sports and can always be found arguing with George about the pitch- ing superiority of XVesley Ferrell over Lefty Ciomel. He was a pitcher on the Baseball Squad and a member of the Debating Club, He has been of great help to the Senior Class as shown by the sincere appreciation with which the class received his suggestions at the Class meetings. He has done fine Work in Spanish and was elected President of the Spanish Club. We all Wish you every success in the future, Ziggy, CECILE ROSANILDA RHEAULT The gentle mind bu gentle deed is known. Cecile, who comes from Leominster, joined us at the beginning of our Sophomore Year. She is a lane student, particularly in Math. and Ends much pleasure in solving some of the most difficult problems. We are in doubt as to Cecile's future, but We all join in wishing her much happiness. PHYLLIS AGATHA RIVARD Her dark eyes, how eloquent. Phyllis came to us from Leominster in the Sopho- more year. Whenever there is any fun to be had, you may be sure that she will be in the very midst. Still this does not interfere with her scholastic duties in the College Course. Phyllis's dramatic Work in the '31 School Play was admirable and We are sure that Whatever be her future aim. she will attain success, Best wishes for a bright career, Phyllis.
