basketball Like our football team, the basketball team is playing its second land lastj season in the Angelus League, which is the most difficult and competitive league in CIF. With four starters returning off last year's team, this year looks much more promising and Coach Mc Clune hopes to do well in league. So far, the Varsity team has won the Pacific Shores Tournament and has posted big Wins over Pius X High School and Palisades High School. During Christmas vacation, the team' traveled to Florida and played in the Kingdom of the Sun Tournament. They plac- ed fifth and lost only one game, which is very impressive for such a prestigious tournament. STANDING: Sean Patikas, Gerald Fruge, Tige Yeargin, Terrill Steen, Damon Woodruff Edward Stokes, Eric Nelson, Juno Armstrong, Hakim Mendez, Mark Raueling.
