ll VARSITY The chemistry was there, the spirits were high and the talents were ready, but the Varsity Vikings went through another year of growing and of fewer wins than losses. Despite the record of 3 and 7, the Vik- ings topped their 1986 Angelus League performance by far by scoring more points and making the games closer and more exciting. Some setbacks were turnovers and penalties on key plays that kept the Vik- ings out of the end zone and out of the win column. On the bright side however, the Vikings received a lot of league respect and recognition. Eight Vikings made All Angelus League squads: Senior Eric Nelson made first team offense, Juniors Douglas Nelson and Jason Lucky made second team defense, and Rod Landis, Craig Bowens, Marlon Mc Bride, Marc Juarez, and Darryl Brown made honorable mention. Many Juniors started for the Vikings this year and Coach Dulgarian is very optimistic about them and' our return to the Camino Real League next year.
