English is an important part of St. Bernard, because it is neccesary for the present and for the future. We need it everyday for cor- rect and proper speech. Our knowledge of English is promised because of the fine teachers in the English Depart- ment, which by the way is headed by Mr. Peter Baldetti. 116 ACAD 3. eligion is an important part of St. Bernard's life. The moral values that the religion classes teach set SBHS students apart from students in other schools. These values are very inspirational, and they are taught by competant teachers who dedicate their time and effort to other children of God. The teachers also stimulate the minds of the students to be at least, aware of the things that are going on around the world and that we can make a difference if we take the time to recognize the problems and the goodness in society and in people. The teachers also encourage students to form an opinion on many of the issues discussed in class. Overall, the religion classes at SBHS help the students learn more about themselves and more about each other. Mafia! and'l7l4 QICAVPJWCV 1 he Guidence Center is a haven of knowledge and wisdom that the students can utilize to aquire infor- mation about classes, tests, and colleges. The fantastic counselors also prepare us for the tests like the NEDT, SAT, and ACH. The also meet with students periodical- ly to review their classes, grades, and plans for the years to come. If you'd like to have a muscular body, then chances are that you won't get it from only our P.E. classes at SBHS. You would pro- bably get a better work out if you workout in a gym also. But our classes can help you train for those hard hours at the health spa. SBHS students are given a chance to condition their body into the best shape possible.
