Student Council Unites Schools in joint Rallies The 1970 Student Council took a giant step forward this year by uniting the three schools for two joint rallies, one ending the football season and one end- ing the basketball season. Other council activities included the annual Variety Show, and Thanksgiving Food Drive. The Heart Fund, Alsac Drive, and the purchasing of coat racks for student activities were among new projects undertaken by the council. Strolling down to relax at the canteen after a tedious stu- dent council meeting are Pam Muller, secretary, and Cath Gouvin, treasurer. 72 Eileen McCarthy, president, and Nancy Stuart, vice-president, discover hard work occasionally results in carefree moments of humor. Diane Kamercia questions a suggestion brought before the council.

Fresh from the printer's press, an issue is hectically pieced together by Carole Wong. Deadline met, Ioyce Passero snacks at her leisure while chatting with Lynn Beckwith. Shield Presents Literary Views of Students Under Lynn Beckwith, editor-in-chief, Ellie Bessette and R'Sue Popowich, associate editors, and Barbara Price, photography editor, the staff, along with their new moderator, Miss Geraldine Drabik, produced our school newspaper, the Shield.
