Weather Conditions Create Snow Odyssey for Alumni Weather conditions on December 27 proved the theme Snow Odyssey appropriate for the Senior-Alumni Dance. The Christmas spirit was felt in the meeting of old friends and the always- present snowflakes. Chess Exaets Keen Insight K Two worthy opponents appear captivated by the fascination of chess. Team Effort Wins in Bridge Bridge Club demanded that students learn the com- plexities of playing bridge. Members concentrated on mastering their own skills and developing perceived plays with partners. Cathy Hornberger promises a challenge to the wincing Iudy Strom. Members of the Chess Club soon discovered that chess involves much thought and decisive action. Tournaments were held between Saint Bernard and students of other schools where the individual showed competitive ability. Bonny Peterson puzzles over a difficult play created by Pat Romano, Lucy D'Angelo and Ellen Mooney team up to win over opposi- tion. 61
