E? Eugene Mailot Phyllis Weekley Joanne Seaman EDITOR co-EDITOR co-EDITOR To the Editorial Staff falls the worry, work, and drudgery that are necessary to bring the book to its ultimate success. As is the case whenever groups work together, some assume more responsibility and do more work than others. While all these students were given ample opportunity, not all worked equally as hard. However, all had some experience and those who remain for l956-i957 will have a chance to use the knowled e of the project that they gleaned this year. The staff table was not agways so cleared as the one pictured here, nor were countenanccs so unclouded and untroubled. With dead- lines to be met as well as classes to attend and jobs to be held outside of school, these students had plenty headaches this year. Untiring and affable, yet serious, most of the success of this ear's book Qindefatigablej goes to the Editor, Eugene Mailot. Eugene possesses great skill as an organizer and has the rare ability of being able to carry out directions exactly as they are given. This is such a necessity when working on a project of this nature. Our special thanks goes out to Eugene - with a special salute to his untiring effort and selfless expenditure of time and talent. Phyllis Weekley and Joanne Seaman, Eugene's co-editors formed with him the perfect trio. Both these girls had experience of last year's Staff and by their work this year proved that what had been spent to give them that ex- perience had not been spent in vain. They will be missed next year - and what is more truly and genuinely appreciative than the conviction that they will be missed. Rose Marie Long comes in for some special recognition, too. Rose Marie is pleasant to work with, reliable, and she, too, can carry out orders without error. Rose Marie's talents lie in the field of art and she did much of the planning of this year's format. Then, too, she can spend both self and time without counting the cost. She, too, will be missed next year. n Mary Ann Nugent spent many laborious hours typing the material for the yearbook. She, too, did not count the cost either in hours o labor or in tediousness of task. Nothing has ever been too much for Mary Ann when it meant doing something for St. Benedict. Gifted with a flare for words, she it was who edited the Christ- mas edition of Action and saw it thru to completion. The graduation of Mary Ann and senior members of the Staff is the loss of the School, but we trust that ,mlm,,, lx. J- they will ever be as reaqdy to help avfter they are out of t ..1,, tmgflfi school as they were in St. Benedict s. SECOND ROW: Mary Ann Nugent, Kay Gerst, Rose Marie Long, Mary Ann Jamail. To the Business Staff fell the task of bring- ing in the subscriptions to the yearbook, as well as procuring Patrons who by their support and encouragement would make this a better book. Joan SI0l8IiR and Paul Armbruster did a fine job of the subscription work - they were on duty at school every noon for several weeks thereby making it possible for the students to contact them and give in their subscription to the year- book. BUSINESS STAFF L.-R.: Joan Stolarik, William Stolarik, Richard Francis, Mary Ann Shivers, Mary Kay Hamme. NOT PICTURED: Joseph Burt and Paul Armbruster.
