IN MEMORIAM THE LATE BISHOP IOHN STOCK, DD. Bishop lohn Stock, born in Blackwood, Pennsylvania, at- tended area schools and was graduated from St. Clair High School. He began his studies for the priesthood at the Pon- tifical University of the Canisianum, Innsbruck, Austria. Forced out of Austria by the Nazis at the outbreak of World War Il, he continued his studies at the American College in Sion, Switzerland. Following his return to the United States in 1940, he completed his philosophical studies at St. Mary's College, Baltimore, and his theological studies at the Catholic University of America. Following his ordina- tion to the priesthood on December 4, 1943, he held various parochial assignments until August 1946, when he was named Representative of the Ukrainian Catholic Committee for Refugees affiliated with NCVVC. Father Stock spent the next six years in Germany and Austria working among dis- placed Ukrainian refugees. Following his return to the Unit- ed States, he was elevated to the rank of Papal Chamberlain and appointed to various chancery and parochial positions. On February 22,1971, Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of the Titular See of Pergamum and Auxiliary to Archbishop Ambrose Senyshyn. On june 29, 1972, Bishop john Stock died in an automobile accident. His loss is felt deeply by all of us who knew this kind, holy priest. May God grant him Eternal Life.

P R I N C I P A L REVEREND LEON MOSKO Reverend Leon A. Mosko, B.A., M.Ed., was graduated from St. Basil's College, He studied theology at the Catholic University of America, and was ordained in 1956. Father Mosko studied English and Drama at Catholic University and at Fordham University. He holds a graduate degree in educational administration from Fairfield University and is presently working toward his doctorate at St. 1ohn's University. During the summer of 1968, Father was a member of the Title ll workshop in Shakespearean drama held at the American Shakespearean Festival theatre in Stratford, Connecticut. Father is also a member of the Modern Language Association, the American National Theatre and Academy, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the American Association of School Administrators. in addition to teaching English I, ll, and IV, Father is Principal and Rector of St. Basil's, and Vice Chancellor of the Stamford Diocese.
