Our lives seem to be under control of economic factors we cannot control-good will and support of an outside constituence, we remain on the knife edge between success and failure. If our family-alumni, faculty, student body, and staff-guards our flank, we can only become stronger within ourselves. If our benefactors-foundations, corporations, donors, and governmental institutions on the national, state, and local levels-continued their support, we can only become better capable of doing the job of educating young people. We enjoyed the spirit of learning and teaching-We cherish the laughter of our success, and have tried determinedly to erase the tears of our failure. Another year has passed by. New doors of opportunities have opened-The picture and literature of it all, we close yet another yearbook. Some have left the land of St. Augustine's, others discovered a new home-Many have made plans to depart, a number stand with intentions to arrive. The president struts strongly, his staff too strives with a positive pace. The picture is not one of perfection, but God knows the printing is a good one. New ideas arise, trite ones die, and the joy of education lives on . . . The times in 1984-1985 cannot return, but this booklet holds the memories. The nearness of our dreams, the fruits of reality, and the incentive to push on. Our mark has been made, the print is clear-Through is all we stood strong. Certainly there were things worth remembering and some things we hurry to forget. Another year has rolled by. When we look back the sight is beautiful.
