Toliver, Jr. She was educated at Bennett College, Greensboro, North Carolina, Clark College, Atlanta, Georgiag Pennsylvania State Univer- sity, and Teachers College, Columbia Univer- sity, New York. During her matriculation for and completion of the Masters Degree and the Doctor of Edu- cation Degree, she served as teacher of Eng- lish, drama, and speech in the public schools of North Carolina and at Saint Augustine's College, where she was on leave at the time of her death. At Saint Augustine's College she was Chairman of the English Department and the Division of Humanities. Her organizational affiliations were many among which were the Links, Inc., Alpha.
