The Student Council, the governing body in the school, is the link between faculty and students. Or- ganized to keep school regulations uppermost in the minds of the girls, the Student Council also has the responsibility of making school life orderly, happy, and worthy. Some of the objectives of the S. C. are to promote good citizenship and leadership, to stimu- late scholarship, to improve the conduct of the stu- dents, to provide for student expression, to promote good sportsmanship, and to be an example and guide for the student body. Every member must be alert, co-operative, and willing to fulfill these objectives. By competently fulfilling its responsibilities and objectives the Student Council not only guides the students in obeying the school laws but also produces the leaders so necessary in life. Sister Mary Margaret, B. Tumelty, and M. Y. Trempus give the reports of the Student Council at an assembly. Mrs. Catherine Rixner gives advice to the Student Council Officers. S eated : B.
