The Editors and Stott of the SAINTSMAN 'l959 lovingly dedi- cated their work to Father David Ryan O.S.A., who this year left our faculty after 19 years as a teacher. We know Father Ryan's love tor Saints has grown continually since his student days here in the middle 2O's, and we thank him in for it. Father's enthusiasm was contageous, and over the years iranged thru yearbook moderation, photography, choral activity, radio, art, and aviation. His versatility as a teacher will be wit- nessed by a generation ot students who had him for every subiect on the curriculum except one. Father started the band in 1940, taught every instrument for a decade and for years has been moderator ofthe band. We again thank Father Ryan for being to us, in a real sense, a father and invite all our readers to drop over to St. Patricks on 30th St. and say hello. 4
