Class History anuar 1954 After a snow storm the night before, we grammar school brats 'entered St. Augustine's on Feb- ruary l, 1950. Brother Aloysius started the ball rolling by making Hx equal to y while Mr. Neville made known to us sum, es, est, etc. Brother Michael convinced us that the track team was the only life to lead. Under Brother Alban's watchful eye, we nearly destroyed all protozoan life in the Biology lab. Brother Christian became the assistant principal at the half year. Came the second year, we were baffled by the gruesome facts Cpropositionsj of Geometry. With Mr. Brustman in the Latin class, we murdered our arch rival, Caesar. Brother Aloysius dropped his x's and y's for Vive la France and irregular verbs. As far as administration went, Brother Barna- bus Paul became the principal in September. Brother Brendan also came at this time to pull us through Geometry but he also gate students a new disease Er tis Meanwhile Tom Murphy was dex elopm into a track star We dropped Geometry in the third year only to get hyperbolas and ellipses thrown at us by Brother A Anthony Caesar s death brought the forces of nature against us a la Physics Brother Victor s In tolerable Acts often were quite intolerable Brother Leo s philosophy sometimes made French seem like English History w hile English with Mr McMurray seemed like Greek Socially Brother Aloy siu developed one of the best school dance bands in the city The boatride with McCauley was xery agreeable for all concerned Alors and we were in French III as Brother Peter s dullards To most of us Solid Geometry was strictly a man s subiect while Trig had a few fellows in another world The Chemistry lab wasnt plastered by any of us History w as one of past events but not all of us passed The prom was on December 29 the regents a month later Both came and went as did graduation and into the cold cruel world we w ere thrust Class Poll anuar 1954 'Typical fluqustzmte Tllost flntellaaeni Best Dressed C ass Class C ass Wlost Least 'Wu Qood Quy Jltblete Popular Apprecxated Wlost Studzous fHandsornest Class Radzcal Nozszest Quzetest Dad Most for Cass Crooner Character Don juan Woncbalant Class Song Class Saymg 4B 43 KEOGH MCCANN ROSS DILLON LA ROCCA MURPHY HACGERTY REOCH ROGERS STEELEY JOHNSTON HARTMANN MARTIN McMAN US JONES SHEVELIN REDICAN LANE CUBAN MAMBO ALORS 4B 44 PATES CULLEN SULLIVAN MONAHAN KONKEL PHILLIPS PEASE MACKLIN KAN E MATHEWS BOHAN EDLEMANN MCHUGH FITZGERALD YOUNG I ONG W MURPHY GIACCHI YOU YOU YOU ALORS . . .
