National Honor Society and National Beta Club are two active organizations at SAHS. NHS did a fantastic job of cleaning up the patio between D hall and E hall. This project required many after-school and weekend work sessions in which club members enthusiastically partici- pated. Beta Club members visited the St. Augustine Geriatric Center at Christmas time to bring holiday cheer to the residents and also collected canned goods for a needy family. Beta also hosted their district meet- ing in early December and held an impromptu speech contest. NHS and Beta always find ways to help their 'school and community. HONOR STUDENTS SERVE Aj 3 4. Throughout the school year many students are recognized for their outstanding leader- ship, and scholastic abilities. Whether they are chosen to represent SAHS at a Youth Government program, or if they have received a special scholarship, these students are respected for the honors they have earned.
