All through the first months of the school year plans were being made for Homecoming Spirit Week. During spirit week there were many activities which kept the students busy. Each day was designated as a different dress- up day, such as Jeans and Jer- sey , Hats, buttons and ribbons . and Fifties days. There were also many contests which gave ev- erybody a chance to show their spirit. S. O. T. I. held a spirit hat contest, and class competition came on strong during skits which the Juniors won. First place in Hall decorations and Beta Club's spirit chain contest both went to the Seniors. The cheerleaders and the band both held teas to show their appreciation to the faculty and the football players, while the Junior class sponsored the Victory dance and the Seniors held their annual Bar-B-Que.
