Money has always been and will forever be a major. concern of the clubs at St. Augustine High School. Clubs need money to pay dues, to sponsor activities and. of course, for parties. Many clubs also raise money for charities such as the Community Chest-United Fund. The classic fund raiser is the car wash. On any given Saturday one can usually find a car wash at the Burger King on U.S. I South: it's the number one location for car washes. A successful car wash requires hard work but the profits are great and most students agree that it's a lot of fun. A bake sale is another popular fund raiser. Some clubs set up the baked goods in front of stores or supermarkets while others sell their wares at school. There are many ways that clubs can raise funds: selling candy or other merchandise, doing odd jobs. contests, raffles and a long list of others. The only things necessary to earn money are imagination and hard work and SAHS students have plenty of these. VW S CLUBS WORK HARD ,MW - H ff 'W My f ,f rf. f 4 . . ffff , . f is ,Q ,f f in . llx Qs.
