The purpose of Girls and Boys State is to teach those students who attend the ways of democracy and living together with others successfully. The week long sessions are held in Tallahassee where the citizens exercise their ability by running for the various city, county, and state oItices. Delegates are chosen from the Junior Class on the basis of leadership, scholarship, citizenship, and character. . It is a great experience to be a delegate to Girls or Boys State, ' and one returns with a clearer, more confident outlook on life and government in our State of Florida.
