This page of the 1965 EL CASTILLO is given in memory of Mr. Lester Brooks. MI. Brooks had been custodian of Ketterlinus High School and our own S.A.H.S. for over ten years. Mr. Brooks came to St. Augustine from Worcester, Massachusetts, where he had been foreman in the city electric company. He preferred the sunshine of Florida to the cold and snowy winters of his home state. Here in this warm climate, he enjoyed his favorite pastime, fishing. Lester Brooks made ' many friends through his kindness and respect for all men. He was a person who could be depended upon any place, any time. He was always willing to help anyone in need. We will not forget our faithful Mr. Brooks in the long years to come. We will always remember him in our hearts. Home is the sailor, home from the sea, And the hunter, home from the hill.

DEDICNION In this year of the Quadricentennial, we dedicate this EL CASTILLO to the courageous men and women who lived under four flags and one God. Their lives were spent in building the foundation of the future; a foundation composed of tolerance, brotherly love, in- dividualism, and spiritual faith. It is our responsibility to continue building toward a future started four centuries ago and to preserve the way of life they have left us.
