TILL V DAY The war Effort here at Saint Augustine is not a mere patriotic phrase. Buying bonds and stamps is something that is more or less taken for granted in our school today. A blue and White minute-man flag waves defiantly in the center of the third-floor corridor, forever proclaiming itself as a symbol of the students' lOO per cent cooperation in the Weekly stamp drive. Bond buyers are by no means few. Delegates from the Senior Class attend Red Cross Rallies volunteers canvass for Red Cross donations, and, each Week, the Seniors type labels for mailing the l'Back of the Yards lournal to the neighborhood boys in service. 1401

H nn sims L ,.. 1 T STUDENTS ' VIRGIN MOST PRUDENT After having invoked the Blessed Virgin Mother under the title, Virgin Most Prudent, for her assistance in the undertaking, we joyfully present the fourth edition of the l'The Call. lt was not a few times that a pair of still lips silently whis- pered a prayer for help. As hours were spent in writing articles, we can remember our tired minds turning to Mary for an inspira- tiong she was there to guide our heart and hand.
