VN 6 f Two senior soloists for this year's programs were Jo Ann Dura and janet Scoggin. The Choral Club through its many singing engagements works intently upon achieving one of its many objectives, to use its God-given talent to the best ad- vantage. The 61 members, composed of jun- iors and seniors, are chosen on the basis of interest and ability. Highlighting the 1958 Christmas sea- son the Choral Club united its efforts with the Dramatic Club to present the traditional Christmas program. Other activities on the Christmas calendar in- cluded singing for the West Side Busi- nessmen's Club, the Bishop Sheen tele- vision program and caroling for the Madams and St. John hospital. The second semester is one of prep- aration and anticipation for the annual Spring concert, the club's most prominent activity. Much credit for the success of the 1958-59 Choral Club belongs to Sister M. DeChantal, who carefully guided the group throughout the year. Pictured on the stairs of St. Augustine Con- vent are the 61 Choral Club members from the junior and senior classes. Um lea? s' 7 Striving for personal sanctity is always a Sodalists aim. This year the Sodality of Our Lady at St. Augustine Academy broadened this personal aim and adopted the theme of Student Vocation. During the course of the summer meetings the So- dalisrs decided there was something they could improve in their life at S.A.A. School was the place where they could best sanctify themselves, as well as help their fellow classmates become aware of their duties as students. The Soclality activities and projects throughout the year were focused on this theme. As the year draws to a close the organization hopes that it has, at least in some measure, made the students aware of their responsibilities during these important years.
