Formerly called the Curtain- naires, the group selected its present name a year ago to be more in keeping with the stand- ards of the national Catholic Theater Conference, to which St. Anthony's belongs. enesian Players The Genesian Players are the central dramatic unit in school. The organization attempts to foster interest in all phases of theatrics among its members. Comprised of junior and senior students, the club puts on a series of one-act plays each year, among which are the annual tournament play and a Christmas presen- tation. Highlight of this year was an arena- style production of The Song of Bernadette. ilii oys, Choir The Boys' Choir, which was originally started as a project of the Bovs' Sodality, has been in existence only a little over two years, Initiatet. as a unison choral group ,the boys have become well versed in all sorts of church music from simple chant to a cappella polyphony. The group started by singing only at general eommunions of the Sodality. They have since sung at other church services and also on programs for a number of clubs. CCI 13118 One of the outstanding features of the music department at St Anthony s IS the all girl chorus Membership in the organization, which IS named after St Cecilia, is open to any girl in school It offers an opportunity for a girl to learn the fundamentals of music and participate in choral singing at the same time.
