r 1 7f ' 9 incv As the L ' Aiitoinc scribe assembles the last of his jottings for our Jubilee Anniversary annual, he finds some interesting little tid-bits of reminiscence wliich have emerged from Memory s Lane ' and are smiling at us in the corridors and in the classrooms of S.A.H.S. Beginning with our Seniors is Joe Broussard whose mother, Edna Maher, is a former S.A.H.S. student. Patsy Phelan the daughter of Donia Blanchett, Mrs. C. M. Phelan, is preparing to be graduated from the Alma Mater which is claimed by her mother and four of her sisters. Right along with Patsy comes Don Russell whose mother Rose Catherine Hebert is another alumna. Don also has a brother Lew Carey, who graduated from the Class of 48 and two sistrs, Betty Sue, a Junior, and Catherine, a Freshman, Then comes Nita Marie DeFatta whose mother, Mary Battaglia, Mrs. D. DeFatta. is known by all of us. Next is Helen Durham whose parents are Gertrude Hacker and Cecil Durham, old St. Anthony students. Two others are the Gietzens, Pauline and Jean, daughters of Pauline Andrus, ex-student. Along with these. Louis Gallier says. My Dad. Joseph Gallicr. came to school here. Bob Fullers mother, Mabel Padeias, was among our girls too. James, Bonnie and Nettie Sohlinger ' s Dad, Barney Sohlinger, is an old student. Among our Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen are: the Decuir ' s, Cecile and Wilton, whose mother, Elizabeth Stansbury remembers when she was one of St. .Anthony ' s group; the Phelans, Margaret, Mary Ellen and Coleen who knew that daddy, Anthony M. Phelan, is also an alumnus of their school. Patsy and Johnny Phelan, cousins of those, share the same honor, for daddy. J. H. Phelan, Jr., went to St. Anthony s too. Looking around a little more, Rose Catherine and Helen Wilson and Dot Le Maire proudly tell that their mothers, the McDaniel sisters, are still coming to St. Anthony ' s. And the same is true of Theresa Leggett whose mother, Jeanette Solomon, still knows her way to our school. Ed Green belongs here too, for daddy, Ed Green, is another alumnus. Tommy Reed claims: mother, Margaret Phelan, sister, Mary Reed, and brother Ranny as his representatives. Ralph Snover, son of Leah Davis, is another member of the album who with Tommy Turner, son of Lillian Brou.ssard, says that the Sophs have their share too, because they can also add Elizabeth Todd, daughter of Virginia Barry; Joe Hebert, son of Anna Lee Woodfin; Frances and Linda Wood, daughters of Alice Boudreau. Of course, the Freshmen are last, but not least, for aside from some little sisters and brothers previously mentioned, Janet White, Rita Krepper and Maureen Toome y also have claims for Mrs. White, Dorothy Rossen; Mr. Toomey and Mrs. Krepper, Doris Toomey are ' exes. We have Walter Nebgen, son of Walter Nebgen, Sr. ; Mildred Douglas, daughter of Mildrd Pontiff; Bonnie Thompson, daughter of Catherine Leicht; David Browning, son of Ena Folse; Margaret Boykin, daughter of the late Burrell Boykin; Jo Ann Bares, daughter of Gladys Bellar: Mary LeBlanc, daughter of Clarence LeBlanc and Jack Dinkins, son of Martha Kohler.
