C7 9 Q 0 -vuC x IS, a tt ' - ' • ' ai3 September 1948 found a pretty large group of young ' uns ready and willing to undertake a hard and rugged life in high school. Although we were separated in classes we were not separated in school spirit. We had very fine officers to lead us and we knew we just couldn ' t go wrong. Officers of room 4 were: President, Vincent Giar- dina; vice-president, Don Russell; secretary. Patsy Phelan; treasurer. Bob Fuller; reporter, Claude Pennell; parliamentarian. Patsy Parma. Officers of room 7 were: President, John Lisotta; vice-president, Helen Durham; secretary, Mary L. Gaudet; treasurer, Sonya Cropper; reporter. Angle Vaglica; and parliamentarian, Carolyn Babin. We were all in the various organizations and really enjoyed ourselves. As Freshmen we were together in everything we did. September 1949 . . . We were Sophomores now and really getting into the swing of things. We didn ' t feel as if we were strangers any- more. We knew practically everyone and everyone knew us. We had more in common with the upper classmen and that made life just dandy. We had girls joining the Glee Club for the first time; namely: Marie Mazzu, Mary Alice Geheb, Patsy Phelan, Betty Dutsch, Joyce Grisaffe, Nita DeFatta, Angle Vaglica, Elida Gonzales, Amada Martinez, Ruby Saldana, Mary J. Enderle, Pauline Gietzen, Joyce Geheb, Kath- erine Dillion, Mary L. Gaudet, and Carolyn Babin. We even had boys making the A team. Wasn ' t that something! It was hard to realize that in September 1950 we were Juniors. Our Freshman and Sophomore years had gone by so quickly that we didn ' t know what was happening. In April we had our Junior Minstrel. l! It went over big, because it was something different. Everyone was in it and everyone had a grand time. At last May came. The month of our Junior-Senior picnic. We had to furnish the food but we didn ' t mind it. In fact, we enjoyed it. 6o -vuc corvinvMC September 1951 found us one step higher on the ladder of success. Believe it or not, we were Seniors. October proved to be a very happy month. Yes, that ' s right, our rings came. November went by too quickly, but the senior girls in the Blue Battalion got long awaited ' ' jackets. The lucky girls were: Gloria Breaux, Carolyn Babin, Amada Martinez, Ruby Saldana, Mary Alice Geheb, Angle Vaglica, Nita De- Fatta, Elida Gonzales, Mary L. Gaudet, Marie Mazzu, and Lilly Belle Bruce. February 7, 1952 was a big day for the Seniors. Yes, the day of the chili supper. Was it a success! Then there was looking forward to the Senior Play and the other big days in May, such as the Junior- Senior picnic. Class Night and Graduation.
