Fr. Cajetan Bogdanski, O.F.M. Fr. Cajetan. a very scholarly man, has held the position of spiritual director of students since he has arrived at Padua. Many boys flock to him for general advice on any problem of any nature throughout the school year. His duties as a teacher lie in freshman Economics, junior Religion, and senior Greek. He teaches chant to the entire student body once a week. Father is also moderator of the Third Order of St. Francis, and regularly provides talks to those who intend to become priests. For the third straight year now. he holds the position of moderator of the Student Council. When his free time is not being sought, Father Cajetan offers assistance to the head librarian. Fr. Eric Skalski. O.F.M. Fr. Eric is the teaching authority on first and third year Eng- lish. Whenever there is a play to put on, F. Eric takes the di- rector s chair with script in hand and offers his criticisms, sug- gestions, and advice. He is the moderator of the PADUAN and also of the Poster Club. In his spare time, Father keeps our golf course as neat and trim as possible. Fr. Austin I.ewinski. O.F.M. Fr. Austin is an authority on outdoor life. His knowledge of the great outdoors has helped many students to appre- ciate wholesome fun, fresh air. and the art of self-preserva- tion. He takes his camping club on outings frequently during the year. Indoors, Father teaches Latin, maintains the posi- tion of moderator of the Book Club and fills in the office of head librarian. 13

CARRYING OUT PROVINCIAL’S ORDERS Fr. Henry Naparla. O.F.M.. Guardian Whenever the scent of a pure Havana cigar is perceived, you can be sure that Fr. Henry is nearby. Father teaches first and second years of French. His master’s degree in French was awarded from DePaul University. He is the Guardian of the Friary and manager of the book store. Fr. Albin Miklaszewski, O.F.M. A pair of field glasses and a-pocket microscope are constant “companions” of Fr. Albin as he goes out on his frequent field trips. His students in Biology and General Science classes quickly imbibe his love of nature. They also become rather ac- complished artists, drawing and coloring illustra- tions under his critical supervision. Father is also Vice-Guardian of the Friary. 12

Fr. Brendan Wroblewski. O.F.M. Sounds of music echo, bounce, and even melodiously flow through the school under the baton of Padua’s “musicman.” In the five years that he has been here, Fr. Brendan has organized a hand and an orchestra, and increased the music facilities. Without doubt, he has created a greater musical appreciation among the students. Besides his role as music instructor, Father teaches senior Religion and freshman Algebra. Mr. Joseph Leniak Every Saturday Mr. Lemak appears on the Padua campus to conduct a uniform program of physical education. Under his guidance and discipline, all students acquire muscular co-ordina- tion and physical fitness. His program concentrates on teaching the basic principles of many sports also. Fr. Cherubin Drag, O.F.M. Beginners in typing class are awed by the speed and efficiency in typing of their teacher, Fr. Cheru- bin. They find typing easier to learn than Polish, which Father also teaches. Many students seek counsel and guidance from him.
