Si Joseph, pairon, proiector, guardian., and faiher, use, 'the class of ’5S, dedicaie our Jaduan io jou. As members of the Universal Church, we rejoice in your patronage. As students of the Sisters who bear your name, we claim your special protection. We axe grateful for your protection, but most of all, we love to acknowledge your fatherhood. By attending St. Anthony’s, we have had the opportunity to deepen our knowledge of the doctrine of the Mystical Body. We have begun to realize that Christ lives in each of us, that He uses our minds, wills, hands, and all our God-given powers for His work in our time and country. Holy Scripture tells us that under your guidance, St. Joseph, the historical Christ grew in wisdom, age, and grace. You foster this same growth in us, the Mystical Christ. We offer our PADUAN to you as a record of that growth through the hours of recreation, study, and prayer at St. Anthony’s.

The PADUAN of '55 has captured the fleeting activities of school days at St. Anthony's and has bound them securely within its covers. The camera's eye and alert observers have caught some of the intangible things that make school days life” — the hesitancy of shy newcomers, the assurance of experienced sophomores, the exuberance of juniors displaying class rings, the anticipation of seniors awaiting expectantly and somewhat regretfully the day of gradu»rion. Amid the memories of events are interwoven the light and shadows of joy and anxiety, prayer and playfulness. The Yearbook staff has dedicated the PADUAN of ’55 to St. Joseph, honoring him by the sectional pages recalling his virtues of obedience, justice, prudence, and fidelity. May he, our glorious father, to whom you have dedicated this book, guard that section of your life as yet unknown and unlived and may he be with you at that moment when earthly shadows pass forever and the full light of eternity shines upon you. —2
