6usl AteJtbilltQfi. „ tyosieuMVid... His Excellency, John Gregory Murray The editorial staff of the PADUAN is to be congratulated on the theme it has adopted for the 1947 issue, ‘resenting the specifications of THIC VALIAS' T WOMAS is outlining to the umrld the salvation of human society, for only in so far as the womanhood of the world is udiant is there any hop - of survival of the human race. Woman is the source of the physical life of mankind, and, simultaneously with her fulfilment of the vocation of physical maternity, it is incumbent on her to develop the spiritual and cultural motherhood that must be the unfailing source of charity in the family. What the child becomes under the tutelage of the mother determines what the adult man or woman will be in shaping the destiny of the human family. Inexhaustible are the topics that may be chosen for indicating the contribution that the valiant woman has to make to the welfare of the individual and the nations. Over and above all the natural endowments given her by God is the sacramental association into which God has invited her to enter with Him in order to reproduce within herself the functions of Mary, the Queen of all icon-, n, in reversing the infidelity of Eve and reconstructing a race of rebels into a kingdom of princesses for the welfare of men and the glory of God. Congratulations to the staff on its choice of the theme, and best wishes for the apostalate of truth in the name of The Valiant Woman! Very faithfully yours, Page Three February 7, 1947.
