ANTHONY, Doctor Patron of the High School under this particular title, St. Anthony is pictured surrounded by the greatest sources of learning-The Crucifix and the Books of the Bible. This choice of title and picture for the High School was influenced by the fact that in 1946, as St. Anthony Parish opened its first High School Class, Pope Pius XII added Doctor to the long list of titles already attached to the name of the son of St. Francis. In 1951 as the first volume of School memories was about to appear a name was sought which would embody at least some portion of the Paduan Saintls name and indicate the theme of the book. Hence, the TONE seemed to answer the quest. For the fifth year we are proud to place this stamp of our Parish Patron on our title page through the courtesy of St. An- thony Messenger.
