Top Row Jim N' Klnley Captain Bert Stanford Gray Birch Billy Clark Gilbert Gibson Clifford Hansen Paul Tu kett Warren Kennedy Darell Robertson Dale Smith M nager Gail Hansen Coach Ralph Harding Middle Row Assistant Manager Tom Ross Assistant Coach Troy Thompson Paul Hosoda Forrest Rudd Don Lewis Frank Ritzhaupt Bill Ricks Miles Nielson Edward Bowman Keith Rudd M J Rudd Bottom Row Harold Ard Roy Davidson Lemuel Eckman Harold Watson Darren Blanchard Billy Morton John Davis Don Wallenstein Summary of the Season This year s football season was not very su cessful because of the inex perience and inpuries of our boys However they did well in coming out of the kinks by winning three tying one and losing four games The players receiving credit for their outstanding work this season are our Captain B rt Stanford who starred in the games as guard and chose wisely as captain Gray Birch playing right guard showed remarkable ability in blocking and tackling The tackles Cliff Hansen and Ed Bowman proved themselves to be a thorn hedge to invading teams Valuable and dependable as both center and tackle was Bryce Brisbin Warren Kennedy also held a post tion of importance in the center of the line When it came to ends we had the best in the personnel of Jim McKinley and Dale Smith who proved apt in snagging passes and punting Found in the back field were such shifty ball carriers as Frank Ritzhaupt Keith Rudd and Darell Robertson-all hard-hit- ting bone-breakers. Mike Nielson and Bill Clark both speedy quarterbacks excelled as the brains of the machine. Fellows having more than iust a streak of the fighting Cougar in them were Virgil Powell Don Lewis Gilbert Gibson M, J. Rudd and Baker Farrimond.
