Band Members Seek the Spirit of St. Louis Every other year the band goes on a trip. On June 4, approxi- mately 44 band members boarded a charter bus and headed for St. Louis. The first evening was spent touring the Arch and the surrounding vicinity. Going up in the Arch turned out to be a scary and claustrophobic experience for some. The following morning, the band marched and played at Six Flags over St. Louis. After the performance, the day was spent on rides, playing games, and eating food. One of the favorite rides was Thunder River, on which a certain chaperone went nine times. The final TOP LEFT: Twyla Beyer sleeps on the way home. TOP RIGHT Terry Adams. Loren Nydegger. Eric Moore.
