Administrative Staff Verva Michaels, Principal's Secretary, 19 years of service to the district Peg Tyler, Office and Library Aide, rookie year Jan Leraaen, Superintendent's secretary, 3 years Lisa Groth, Business Manager, 3 years Emmett Tyler, in his twelfth year as Principal of St. Ansgar High School Three of our administrative staffers at work. On August 4, 1986, as he was returning to St. Ansgar from a school-related meeting in Stacy- ville, Mr. Jensen was involved in a serious two-car accident. He spent approximately fourteen weeks at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, recuperating from head and other injuries. As the school year began, the three principals, Mssr. Mueller, Turner, and Tyler, shared the decision-making responsibil- ities. Mr. Tyler served as the Su- perintendent Designee. It was decided by the school board that a substitute superinten- dent was needed. Norm Kolberg, Superintendent of the Riceville school system, was hired begin- ning with the second semester. His title is Administrative Assistant, and he will remain on the job until Mr. Jensen can return to work. A rather unique schedule was worked out between the two schools. Mr. Kolberg works in St.Ansgar on Mondays, Wednes- days, and Friday mornings, and the remainder of his work week is spent in Riceville.
