Fall Play — “It Happens Every Summer ” After many weeks of long, hard work, the fall play finally took shape. It began to appear as if what happens every fall would eventually happen to It Happens Every Summer — the students would pull it off — with the 3-Act Comedy by David Rogers. The performance on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, November 2-3, came off without a hitch. Well, almost a pop can appeared mysteriously on the set (left by a prop mover?), along with Dreeble, the cast pet. During one crucial practice, a microphone was kicked and thought to be broken. Luckily it wasn't, for it could have been costly in more ways than one to the efforts of the cast and crew. Veteran actors, Randee Lenz, Darrell Mullenbach, and Helen Scripture, all seniors, had major parts, as did sophomores Karla Hackenmiller and Shannon Johnson. The cast and crew, under the direction of speech and drama advisor, Shirley Brodersen, numbered approximately 40.
